Karen Osovsky, CEO

Cannabis Consultant CEO

Consultant · Entrepreneur · Advocate for Sovereignty & Sustainability

Karen Osovsky is one of Oregon's most respected voices in cannabis — a builder, a connector, and a force of nature who has been shaping this industry since long before it had a rulebook. In 2011, she entered the legacy market, transitioning to Oregon's regulated recreational market in 2016, where she built her own farm and clone nursery — Next Generation Nurseries — from the ground up. Those early years forged deep relationships with farms, processors, and dispensaries across Oregon, leading to the founding of Farmers First PDX in 2020, a licensed wholesale and distribution company built to solve supply-chain problems while fiercely protecting Oregon farmers.

As the founder of Osovsky Cannabis Consulting, Karen works with operators, brands, investors, and entrepreneurs navigating the complex realities of cannabis — whether launching in a new state, solving a compliance challenge, or building a brand from scratch. She is also one of the creators of Cloud Cannabis, a sustainable, eco-friendly vape brand proving that the cannabis industry can — and should — do better for the planet. Karen draws from every challenge she has overcome to bring a uniquely candid, wise, and grounded approach to her work, because in cannabis, your reputation is everything — and Karen has spent 15 years earning hers.

At the heart of Karen's work is a mission bigger than market share: bringing tribal nations into the full ownership and operation of their own land through cannabis. She believes this industry carries real power to restore sovereignty, build generational wealth, and honor the relationship between people and the earth — and she is actively working to make that vision real.

Karen holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor's degree from Oregon State University in Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies, with an emphasis on identity politics across all spaces regardless of culture or skin type. That foundation isn't background — it's the lens through which she leads, centering equity as much as strategy in everything she builds.
